Carl A. Sinderbrand is a partner at Axley Brynelson, LLP. He practices in the areas of environmental law, construction and commercial contracting and disputes, public utility law, government regulation and permitting, and appeals. Mr. Sinderbrand is also an experienced mediator and arbitrator. He is a member of Axley’s Litigation, Business Practices and Construction Groups.

Mr. Sinderbrand is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits, and several United States District Courts, including the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin.

Significant Representations:

  • Lead attorney for major international engineering firm in complex litigation regarding contaminated river remediation project
  • Served as independent observer and consultant to Wisconsin Department of Administration for power plant renovation contracting process
  • Lead attorney for major manufacturing corporation in power plant licensing proceeding before public utility agency, trial court and Wisconsin Supreme Court: Clean Wisconsin, Inc. v. Wisconsin Public Service Comm.
  • Represents Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources before Wisconsin Supreme Court on Public Trust Doctrine water rights case: Lake Beulah Management District v. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources
  • Represented environmental organization in public utility electric power plant environmental licensing and permitting proceedings
  • Represented high-rise residential developer/owner in construction dispute
  • Advisor and lead negotiator to local governments in landfill siting proceeding
  • Represents manufacturing corporation in environmental enforcement action
  • Lead attorney for highway contractor on public bid protest in trial court, Wisconsin Court of Appeals and Wisconsin Supreme Court: James Cape and Sons Co. v. Mulcahy
