Adding to the quality of life in our community has been an Axley Brynelson commitment since 1885. Axley is dedicated to supporting organizations and activities that result in a stronger community in which to live and work. Many of our attorneys and staff assist as volunteers for civic organizations and events, serve as officers, directors and trustees for charitable associations, and make financial contributions to worthy causes throughout our community.

Examples of Axley's community involvement include:

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County - A program that develops long-lasting friendships between children primarily from single-parent homes and caring, responsible volunteers to enhance the well-being of those children.

Department of Public Health, Madison & Dane County – The Department of Public health serves 500,000 people in the Madison area, promoting community health and well-being through the prevention and control of disease, and ensuring a healthy environment.

Forward Lymphoma – Provides financial support for lymphoma-based research at the University of Wisconsin’s Paul P. Carbone Comprehensive Cancer center, the only comprehensive cancer center in Wisconsin and the lead federal agency for cancer research.

Give Kids a Smile Campaign - A program that reaches local, low-income children for dental care that they would otherwise be unable to receive.

Habitat for Humanity - Axley Brynelson employees have volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, a non-profit organization that builds and renovates homes for families in need.

Home Health United - A non-profit organization that provides home health services, home medical equipment and hospice care for 25 counties in Wisconsin.

Komen for the Cure Madison - Axley Brynelson supports the By Women For Women golf outing which has raised $180,000 over the past five years for breast cancer programs and research.

State Bar of Wisconsin Lawyer Hotline - Axley Brynelson volunteers bi-monthly in a public service program that provides answers to basic legal questions that can be answered over the phone.

Toys for Tots - A U.S. Marine Corps Reserve program that collects new, unwrapped toys each year, and distributes them as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community to provide a message of hope to youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

Urban League of Greater Madison - Improves the social and economic conditions of African Americans, other people of color, and the economically disadvantaged in the Madison area community.

Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund - Helps deliver legal services to over 20,000 low-income Wisconsinites.

YMCA - Madison's Strong Kids Campaign - Helps build strong kids, strong families and strong communities in Wisconsin by providing opportunities for children, teens and families to participate in high-quality, character-building programs regardless of their ability to pay.
