April 23, 2009

(Madison, Wis.) Children of Axley Brynelson employees spent the day at Axley Brynelson on April 23, 2009 for the firm’s first annual Bring Your Child to Work Day. Axley Brynelson employee Jennifer Sornson planned the day’s events.

During the day, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, Dane County Register of Deeds Kristi Chlebowski and Dane County District Attorney Brian Blanchard spoke with the children about their roles in local Madison government.

Axley Brynelson Attorneys Michael Modl and Timothy Barber talked with the children about Wisconsin’s Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, and explained how they work with these different levels of government.

The group also attended a private tour of the Wisconsin State Capitol’s Supreme Court chambers, and a question and answer session with Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson and Justice Michael J. Gableman.
