Mr. Curtis is a partner in the law firm practicing insurance defense, contract disputes, premises liability and commercial litigation. He represents businesses and individuals before judges and juries in state and federal court. Additionally, Mr. Curtis defends worker's compensation claims before the Wisconsin Worker's Compensation Division on behalf of insurance carriers and employers. He also represents agribusiness liability insurers, agricultural cooperatives, feed mills and other agricultural businesses in a variety of areas including safe place and personal injury claims, "bad feed" claims, and claims involving farm animal nutrition and other services.
Mr. Curtis regularly presents seminars and authors articles on various subjects including insurance coverage, general litigation and professional ethics. He also leads the firm’s green initiatives.
Mr. Curtis is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the state of Wisconsin, the Supreme Court of the state of Minnesota, the United States District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
