Rick Petershack is a partner in the firm and member of the Business Practice Group. His practice focuses on real estate, lending law and mediation. He has represented entities in significant real estate transactions, including lending transactions, purchases and sales, and land development activities. In lending transactions, he has worked extensively in real estate and business financing, including working capital and asset-based loans, and in letter of credit enhancement transactions. He has also been actively involved in the Dane County Case Mediation Program and has mediated a variety of business disputes.
Mr. Petershack has industry experience with local, regional and national lending institutions, and real estate development firms. He also has experience in business financing for small, medium and large businesses, public finance, including underwriter representation, complex real estate and business transactions, often involving multi-layered financing, public financing and significant deed restriction issues.
Significant Representations:
- Represented a local lender in a $50 million development and mini-permanent loan to hospitality industry borrower (hotel and water park facility)
- Represented a regional lender in a $60 million revolving credit and term loan facility to a multi-state industrial borrower
- Acted as underwriter's counsel in a $110 million bond issuance by a state authority
- Represented a purchaser in acquisition of a national franchise operation
- Acted as lender's local counsel in a $2 billion credit facility
- Represented regional lender in a $15 million letter of credit enhancement of a demand note transaction
- Represented the seller of a large-scale mixed use development for a price in excess of $30 million
