Robert Procter is a partner at the firm practicing dealer/franchise law and real estate/construction law.

Mr. Procter is the leader of Axley Brynelson's Distributorship and Franchise Law Team. Mr. Procter counsels manufacturers and distributors relating to dealership and franchise issues including distribution agreements and networks, dealer terminations, product recalls, regulatory compliance and litigation. Mr. Procter is also an active member of the firm's Construction Law Team, representing developers and builders relating to all aspects of development including real estate acquisitions, annexations, land divisions, zoning disputes, condominiums and tax-deferred exchanges.

Significant Representations and Achievements Relating to Distribution and Franchise Law:

• Acted as General Counsel to a national manufacturer relating to multiple product recalls by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission
• Acted as General Counsel to a low speed motor vehicle manufacturer relating to regulatory requirements under federal and state law
• Acted as counsel to an international manufacturer relating to dealership terminations in Canada
• Acted as counsel to numerous manufacturers and distributors relating to litigation under the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law in the Federal Courts of Wisconsin, Ohio and Mississippi
• Drafted distribution agreements for national distribution networks
• Represented numerous dealers relating to their rights under the Wisconsin Fair Dealership Law and other similar applicable laws
• Represented franchisors in state regulatory proceedings relating to alleged violations of applicable franchise investment laws 

Significant Representations and Achievements Relating to Real Estate and Construction Law:

• Primary drafter of the Wisconsin Builders Association form Home Construction Contract and Remodeling Contract
• Provide counsel to clients on all phases of commercial land development including land acquisition, negotiating developer agreements, and land use approvals
• General Counsel to large real estate broker company and many individual brokers
• Represented real estate brokers relating to investigations by the Department of Regulation and Licensing as to alleged violations
• Member of the Wisconsin Builders Association, the Wisconsin Builders Association's Remodeler's Council, the Madison Area Builders Association and the Metropolitan Builders Association
• Chair of the Wisconsin Builders Association's Developers Committee (2011)
