Attorney Gail Groy is a partner at Axley focusing her practice on Personal Injury Law and Civil Litigation.
Attorney Groy became a lawyer in 1998. Prior to that she was a qualified electrical & electronics engineer and a high school mathematics and technology teacher. She brought these valuable experiences into her practice of law handling a wide variety of personal injury cases such as motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog bites and wrongful deaths. She has appeared countless times in court successfully arguing the most difficult summary judgments and achieving amazing settlements for her clients. Her success rate precedes her, and Gail uses her analytical ability and knowledge of the law coupled with her experience in mediation and court to whirlwind outstanding results.
If a settlement cannot be reached before trial, Ms. Groy has a vast network that allows her access to some of the best expert witnesses in the country. This gives Ms. Groy and her clients a decided edge over her competitors in the courtroom. Her clients also appreciate her willingness to speak to them and learn about their pain and suffering, including often times a loss of enjoyment of life, that their injuries have caused them. She then quantifies these injuries and argues passionately on her clients behalf ready for the fight to win.
In addition to her success rates, Ms. Groy brings to her practice a strong background in engineering, math and science. This gives her the unique capacity to truly analyze all aspects of a case to determine the best course of action for her clients. No one expects this mixture of law and science as she gallantly throws out her knowledge to the unsuspecting with a lateral twist.
The difference Attorney Groy makes is that she is practiced and experienced, bright and capable. Most of all likable. Your case in her hands will be handled with down-to-earth ability and care – with a high likelihood of success.
Attorney Groy began her legal career in the United Kingdom after graduating from Kingston University Law School in Surrey and the Westminster University in London. After relocating to the United States, Ms. Groy petitioned the Supreme Court of Wisconsin to take the Wisconsin State Bar Exam as she had a British law degree. Attorney Groy was successful in her petition, and after passing the Wisconsin bar exams, she became one of the first foreign attorneys allowed to practice law in the state of Wisconsin without having attended an ABA approved law school. She succeeded where no one had before. Which is the armor she will apply to your case.
Her uniqueness and skill set culminated in Ms. Groy being an associate member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, where she is working to bring forensic expertise into her litigation personal injury practice.
Outside the office, Attorney Groy is starting a vineyard in Verona with her husband, which entails planting, growing and maintaining over six hundred grape vines throughout the season.
Admitted to practice in the State Courts of Wisconsin and the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and in England and Wales.

Gail C. Groy has been an excellent Attorney. She knows how to do her job. Gail always called me and let me know what is happening with my case. She also always gave me a copy of the documents. I would recommend her for someone else that needs an attorney.
I want to take this time to praise Attorney Gail Groy for her pride, her work ethic, and the time she took out for my case.
I hired other attorneys that did not compare to her hard work, her intellect and her initiative to get me far more than previous attorneys, and to get the job done.
I would completely recomend Mrs. Groy to anyone injured, to consider her and let her listen to your side in each case as they are individual. What I have found previously is other attorneys simply don’t care and get far more than the injured individual.
Gail takes the time to consider all involved, makes her own positive decisions and will let you know the truth.
My husband and I were injured in a car accident in 2016. Frustrated and having no idea what steps needed to be taken, we turned to Gail Groy for advice. Gail worked with us through the entire process to get us fair compensation for our injuries. It helped to know that someone was fighting for us, even when the healing process was slow. As a mother of a small child, I also appreciated the empathy she showed us with regard to impact on our family life.
When you find yourself needing a lawyer, it can be daunting due to multiple reasons. To name a couple… most of us realize we are not capable of sifting thru litagation, even though we do recognize injustice… and opening the yellow pages to actually call a lawyer is overwhelming. We found ourselves in this very situation when we found Gail Groy. Her raw respect for justice, her communication and her professionalism are unmatched. We so grateful to Axley and Gail for their efforts.
I cannot thank Attorney Gail Groy enough for the work she did with our personal injury case. My husband and I were rear-ended by another driver when I was 30 weeks pregnant. The stress of the accident triggered contractions, so we went to the hospital immediately. Thankfully, after many hours of monitoring, everything calmed down and I was able to carry my son to full term. Gail not only made sure we were fully compensated for the damage to our car (which was totaled), but also for the pain and suffering we endured as a direct result from the accident. Gail was so caring and compassionate in that she continuously checked in on me throughout the remainder of my pregnancy and made sure that after the birth of my son I had no residual issues from the accident. She was also diligent in touching base with my husband, who had some minor injuries from the accident, to make sure things were healing properly. She fought tirelessly. Thanks again Gail, your passion and drive is evident in all aspects of your work!
