Attorney Kristin Pierre is an Associate Attorney at Axley and a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. Ms. Pierre focuses her practice on a variety of issues within the area of civil litigation, including insurance defense, construction, personal injury, contractual disputes, and premises liability, as well as those areas of civil litigation unique to municipal corporations.
Ms. Pierre graduated from Marquette University Law School, where she focused her coursework and clinical experiences on the school’s litigation track. After graduation, Ms. Pierre worked for a prominent insurance and worker’s compensation defense litigation firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for four years. She has experience working with a wide variety of clients from family-owned small businesses to Fortune 500 companies on a diverse caseload, including personal injury, premises liability, environmental contamination, construction defect, toxic exposure, municipal, insurance coverage, and worker’s compensation matters.
In her practice, Ms. Pierre strives to always begin with a thorough, working knowledge of all the relevant issues surrounding a case by listening to her clients and understanding their individual concerns, priorities, and motivations. She appreciates that legal disputes require not only a legally effective solution, but one in which her clients will be well-positioned to move forward from the issues they are facing once the matter comes to a close.
During law school, Ms. Pierre worked as a legal intern for the Forest County Potawatomi Community legal department at both the Crandon and Milwaukee offices, where she supported the needs of the Tribal government and the Tribe’s wholly owned and operated business enterprises. Additionally, Ms. Pierre was inducted into the Pro Bono Society as a member with distinction for completing over 150 hours of pro bono legal services.
Ms. Pierre is originally from Appleton, Wisconsin. When she is not in the office, she enjoys cooking, baking, running, and exploring Wisconsin’s natural wonders, as well as spending time with family and friends.
