About
Attorney Joe Malone is a Senior Associate at Axley and is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Attorney Malone primarily focuses his practice on insurance defense and other civil litigation.
With a strong affinity for legal research, Attorney Malone is an asset to his clients in complex legal disputes. He largely works with insurance companies and their insureds on matters related to motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death claims, premises liability, claims against school districts, insurance policy coverage disputes, and claims against agricultural businesses and farmers. He is an active member of the Dane County Bar Association and the James E. Doyle American Inn of Court.
Prior to joining Axley, Attorney Malone worked for two reputable firms in Wisconsin, where he focused on civil litigation, including construction litigation, commercial litigation, eminent domain, and probate disputes. He has won settlements in high-value construction and eminent domain cases, and he has successfully litigated claims through trial.
Attorney Malone graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Madison Law School, where he was inducted into the Order of the Coif, a national honor society that is considered one of the highest academic distinctions. During his time at UW Law School, he served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Wisconsin International Law Journal. In law school, Attorney Malone also clerked at Axley and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Wisconsin.
Attorney Malone lives in Sun Prairie with his wife, son, and daughter. When he has free time, he enjoys occasional trips to the driving range, cooking with his wife and their longtime cooking collaborator, and exploring and perfecting chocolate cake recipes.
