Attorney Mary Parmeter is an associate attorney and member of the Business Practice Group at Axley. Ms. Parmeter focuses her practice primarily on general corporate law, corporate finance and securities, business organization and formation, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Axley, Ms. Parmeter completed her MBA in Corporate Finance and Investment Banking from the Wisconsin School of Business. While there, Ms. Parmeter worked at Goldman Sachs in New York City and Chicago in the Investment Management Division, where she dove into the financial markets and the intricacies and impacts of investment decisions on high net worth individuals. As part of her education, Ms. Parmeter worked on a team as a financial consultant to national companies and competed in Investment Banking competitions. Ms. Parmeter is also a published author for her work discussing the fiduciary duties to diversify corporate boardrooms. Prior to starting her MBA, Ms. Parmeter worked at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board with the legal team who handled matters pertaining to private equity, venture capital, and other investment funds.
Ms. Parmeter is a native of Wisconsin Rapids and grew up working in her family business Golden Eagle Log Homes, which inspired her to focus her coursework and experience on business and finance-specific matters. Ms. Parmeter joined Axley as a Law Clerk in 2016 before transitioning to a full-time attorney.
Outside of work, Mary is a fitness and outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
