Megan Jerke is a paralegal at Axley with over 12 years of paralegal experience.  She has worked with Attorney William S. Cole since joining the firm in October 2017. As Axley’s Municipal Paralegal, Ms. Jerke focuses her practice in municipal law and provides a range of support to the firm’s municipal practice group.  Her expertise includes drafting ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and conveyance instruments; preparing property acquisition agreements and managing such transactions through closing; reviewing liability and tax claims against local governmental entities; assisting supervising attorneys through all stages of nuisance abatement actions and multi-million-dollar municipal development projects; and managing municipal court prosecutions for several municipalities.

Ms. Jerke received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies from one of the few four-year programs approved by the American Bar Association. Prior to joining Axley, she worked as a paralegal in a variety of areas of law including asbestos defense, estate planning and probate law, family law, immigration law, insurance defense, municipal law, product liability defense, oil and gas law, and tort litigation.
