NLRB Issues Memorandum GC 15-04 Involving Employer Rules
March 20, 2015
On March 18, 2015 the General Counsel for the NLRB issued Memorandum GC 15-04 which sets forth the most recent employer cases involving the issue of Employer Rules. The NLRB has been rather aggressive in finding employer rules and policies, regardless of whether the workforce is unionized, as interfering with employee rights under Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act (“NLRA”). Employers should be diligent in reviewing their rules and policies to ensure they comply with the Board’s interpretation of the NLRA. A copy of Memorandum GC 15-04 can be obtained here.
