Attorney James Hammes has practiced law in Waukesha County since 1977. Since 1980, he has held an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
During the course of his professional career he has represented clients on a variety of matters, but has concentrated his practice on civil litigation and municipal law, representing both municipalities and clients whose interests were impacted by decisions and approvals required by local government bodies and commissions. When necessary, Mr. Hammes has pursued his clients interest in the appellate courts, resulting in more than 40 published decisions in the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Courts of Appeals.
