Attorney Cora I. Purdue is an associate at Axley and a member of the firm’s Business Practice Group. She focuses her practice on general business matters including business formation, contract negotiations and drafting, business startups, and financing.
Prior to joining Axley, Attorney Purdue worked with the firm as a Summer Associate in 2025. She assisted with various asset purchase and real estate transactions, analyzed alcohol distribution agreements for compliance with Wisconsin statutory requirements, and drafted and reviewed commercial lending modification documents. She held additional legal internships, where she worked on intellectual property enforcement, aided with state and federal litigation matters, and drafted solar field leases and other real estate instruments, including drainage and gas line easements.
Attorney Purdue received her Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in real estate law from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She was actively involved in the Law & Entrepreneurship Clinic and was a member of First Generation Lawyers. Attorney Purdue earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with summa cum laude honors from St. Norbert College. She was a member of St. Norbert’s Academic Honors Program and an inductee of the Academic Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Additionally, Attorney Purdue was a member of the Women’s Track and Field team and was named an NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field All-American in 2019.
When not in the office, Attorney Purdue enjoys gardening, golfing, and boating with her family.
