Recently, the Wisconsin Law Journal honored Attorney Melissa Warner as one of their 2018 Women in the Law. Through this award, Wisconsin Law Journal recognizes a group of women that excel in their careers, open doors for other women into the legal industry, and give back to their community. Attorney Warner has done this and more, and Axley is honored to have her.
Attorney Warner focuses her practice at Axley Attorneys on issues of tax law and estate planning. With a Master of Laws in Taxation, Attorney Warner uses her background in taxation to the benefit of her clients in both business and estate planning. She goes above and beyond for her clients and is quick to share her knowledge with her colleagues and has become a goto on tax-related issues within the firm.
While her talent as an attorney certainly sets her apart, it is her demeanor that makes Attorney Warner exceptional. She combines hard-work with good humor in a way that makes her much loved and respected by both her clients and her co-workers. Attorney Warner is frequently found in the office on weekends and is always a bright light in the firm.
The same qualities that make Attorney Warner an exemplary attorney go with her into her community. Attorney Warner is a co-founder of the By Women For Women Golf Outing. During her time organizing the annual women’s golf outing, By Women For Women raised nearly $400,000 for Susan G. Komen South Central Wisconsin and Breast Cancer Recovery. Breast Cancer Recovery is an organization that provides low cost and free retreats to allow breast cancer survivors to heal emotionally.
The Wisconsin Law Journal presented its 2018 Women in the Law awards at a dinner and reception last night at Discovery World in Milwaukee.
