PMG-MP-resized(Madison, Wis.) – Axley Brynelson, LLP is proud to announce the election of the firm’s first female Managing Partner, Attorney Patricia Gibeault.

With more than 33 years of experience at Axley, Attorney Gibeault was elected by the firm’s Partners. She also became the firm’s first female Partner in 1989.

“It is an honor to accept the position as Axley’s next Managing Partner, and even more so, to be the first female to assume the role,” said Attorney Gibeault. “I look forward to using both my legal experience and extensive history with the firm to continue the Axley tradition of providing quality, timely and cost-effective legal services to clients.”

Attorney Gibeault practices in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, commercial litigation, foreclosure, Chapter 128 Receiverships, Workouts and the Wisconsin Consumer Act. Super Lawyers recognized her as one of the Top 25 Attorneys in Madison for both 2013 and 2014; she has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© annually for the past 25 years.

Attorney Gibeault succeeded Axley’s former Managing Partner, John Mitby, who stepped down after years of excellent leadership on October 31, 2014.

“Attorney Gibeault is one of the hardest working Partners at this firm,” said Attorney Larry Libman – Executive Committee member and Partner in the firm for over 23 years. “The Executive Committee is very impressed by her seamless transition leading up to her role as Managing Partner, and we have every confidence she will be a driving force in fostering both legal innovation and technological advances at our firm to better serve both existing and future clients.”
