Genesee Creek
Attorney Don Murn along with his wife Lisa Murn donated 26-acres of land known as the Murn Genesee Creek Preserve to the Waukesha County Land Conservancy. The property is on the Genesee Creek, which serves as a tributary to the Fox River.
The property has more than 2,000 feet of stream frontage and is adjacent to the Arboretum Conservation Easement. The donation will protect the wildlife habitat and also the plant communities that contribute to the health of the Fox River as a whole.
This donation brings efforts one step closer to improving regional water quality in the area.
