(Madison, Wis.) – The Wisconsin Law Journal selected Axley Attorney Edward Lawton to receive the prestigious 2012 Up and Coming Lawyer award, honoring him for his hard work and early success in his career.
The award is presented to candidates who have practiced law for eight years or less, and lead by example through their passion, dedication and leadership. This year, a record 80 nominations were judged and 25 honorees were selected.
Axley Law Firm hired Ed Lawton immediately after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School. Lawton is described by fellow colleagues as an incredibly hard worker and has quickly become one of the firm’s go-to attorneys in a number or complex business areas, including mergers and acquisitions, securities, and landlord-tenant law.
Award recipients were honored on September 19, 2012 in Milwaukee and have also been featured in a special edition of the Wisconsin Law Journal.
Lawton was recently named to the 2011 Wisconsin Rising Stars List for his excellence in business and corporate law.
