(Madison, Wis.) – The Wisconsin Law Journal named Axley Attorney Matthew Leffler as a 2015 Up and Coming Lawyer, recognizing his dedication and promise in the legal profession.

Leffler ranks among a select group of attorneys throughout the state who have practiced law for eight years or less, and whose initiative and passion have allowed them to achieve notable success within that time frame.

Leffler focuses his practice primarily on business, construction and real estate law. He is singled out by his mentors not only for the breadth and complexity of his practice, but also for his advanced negotiation and networking skills.

“We hired Matt straight out of Law School because of his impressive amount of experience — even then we could see his potential,” said Don Murn. “Since starting at Axley, Matt has exceeded our wildest expectations. We are proud to have him on board, and are eager to watch him grow into what we are sure will be a phenomenal attorney.”

Leffler maintains high involvement in the legal community by frequently publishing business-related articles for the Wisconsin Employment Law Letter and Axley’s website, as well as speaking at various Wisconsin construction seminars. Leffler is a member of both the Racine County and Waukesha County Bar Associations. He has also dedicated his time by participating in an information session for University of Wisconsin Law students where he spent time answering questions and giving advice to future lawyers.

A ceremony commemorating Leffler and the other honorees took place Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee. In addition, The Wisconsin Law Journal will issue a special publication showcasing the 2015 Up and Coming Lawyers.
