(Madison, Wis.) – Embracing the holiday spirit in the digital age, Axley Law Firm released a Thanksgiving-themed website this morning to raise awareness and donate funds to the growing homeless population in Madison.
Titled The Axley Wall of Thanks, the site allows visitors to share what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving through multimedia posts – including videos, photos, quotes and text entries. Axley will donate $2.00 for every submission posted on the website – up to a total of $2,500 – to Porchlight, Inc., a non-profit organization providing resources such as food, emergency shelter, housing, support services and employment services to homeless individuals throughout Dane County.
“In essence, this is a content-sharing free-for-all that’s for a good cause,” said Patricia Gibeault, Axley’s Managing Partner. “We’re promoting the importance of sharing the gifts in our lives for which we are grateful, we’re using technology to better to the community, and we’re offering people a fun and meaningful method of commemorating the holidays.”
Established in 2004, Porchlight, Inc. is the largest non-profit supplier of low-cost housing in Dane County. Its initiatives are centered on assisting homeless individuals in transitioning into permanent housing and employment situations.
Submissions will appear on the website’s homepage, which serves as a compilation of all posts, upon approval. Axley will accept submissions through Thanksgiving.
