(Madison, Wis.) – Axley is pleased to announce the addition of two new attorneys to its Madison office today.

Joining Axley’s Business Practice Group is Attorney Clarke Sugar, whose primary focus is creditor/debtor law. He is well-versed in bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation; trustee representation; secured and commercial transactions; litigation and real property law.

Mr. Sugar spent the past five years as an associate at San Francisco-based law firm Meyers Law Group, P.C., where he represented various debtors, trustees, firms and companies in multimillion dollar cases regarding loan priority and vendor disputes, corporate restructurings and administrative appeals.

He received his Juris Doctor with a concentration in Commercial Law from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minn. His exceptional academic performance was recognized by prominent organizations including the American Bankruptcy Institute and the American College of Bankruptcy.

Experienced in all aspects of civil litigation, Attorney Justin Lessner joined Axley’s Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Lessner primarily handles matters regarding construction litigation, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, product liability, toxic torts, commercial litigation and transportation law.

Prior to joining Axley, Mr. Lessner was an associate attorney at two prominent Chicago-based law firms, where he litigated a wide variety of matters from inception through trial or arbitration and appeal.

Mr. Lessner was named to the 2013 and 2014 Illinois Rising Stars lists. He received his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law with Honors.
