Axley is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Emily Selner to the firm’s Business Practice Group.
Attorney Selner is a recent graduate of Marquette University Law School and concentrates her practice on trust and estates, tax, business planning, and agriculture law. Growing up on her family’s dairy farm sparked her passion for helping family and small business owners through estate planning and business succession planning. Throughout her education, she has focused on understanding the challenges facing today’s business leaders. Selner has served as an intern with the Office of Chief Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as a research assistant assisting in the development of a revised textbook on federal estate and gift taxation with a special focus on changes under the Federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.
Ever the go-getter, Attorney Selner served as an associate editor for the Marquette Law Review and was the Student Liaison to the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section of the Wisconsin State Bar. She also cultivated her knowledge of agribusinesses through a number of experiences including interships with the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, Cooperative Network, and Land O’Lakes and through her study abroad experience in France in an international agriculture business program.
When not in the office, Ms. Selner enjoys knitting for her friends and family.
