Axley Welcomes Attorney Sterling Knoche to Madison Office

Axley is excited to announce the addition of Attorney Sterling Knoche to our Madison Office. Attorney Knoche is a litigation attorney practicing in the areas of civil litigation, insurance claims and defense, administrative law, municipal law, and environmental law.

magna cum laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Sterling worked as a clerk with Axley prior to joining as an associate. His experience extends to writing appellate briefs, drafting motions, and preparing memos.

Sterling was the recipient of the Friends of the Remington Center Endowment award during law school, where he worked for several clinics including the Federal Appeals Project, and the Constitutional Litigation, Appeals, and Sentencing project. He also worked for the State Democracy Research Initiative doing research on state-level democracy issues regarding state supreme courts.

Outside of the office, you can find Sterling playing for the Madison Radicals, Madison’s semi-professional ultimate frisbee team. The Radicals are part of the AUDL (American Ultimate Disc League). The AUDL has 25 teams across the U.S. and Canada. Other than home games at Breese Stevens Field, Sterling’s favorite place he has played is Montreal.
