About

Attorney Katy (Katharine) Adler is an associate at Axley and a member of the firm’s business practice group. Attorney Adler focuses her practice on estate planning and general business.

Prior to joining Axley as an associate, Attorney Adler served as a summer associate with the firm. She currently assists clients with estate planning including last will and testament, trusts, health and financial and powers of attorney, marital property agreements, advanced directives, and HIPAA authorizations. In addition, Attorney Adler aids clients with business succession plans and general business guidance.

Attorney Adler graduated magna cum laude from Marquette University Law School. During her time there, she held an internship with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, conducting legal research for the Honorable Justice Jill Karofsky. Attorney Adler served as a legal volunteer at Wills for Healthcare Heros, the Milwaukee Civil Legal Help Line, the Milwaukee Volunteer Legal Clinics, and the Domestic Violence Restraining-Order Clinic. Attorney Adler was also on the Marquette Law Review and was the Web Editor from 2022-2023. Her student comment received the Silver Quill award and was published in Volume 106.

Attorney Adler is also a Licensed Professional Counselor and a graduate of Illinois State University with a Master of Science in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Prior to attending law school, Attorney Adler worked as a mental health counselor and victim advocate in a variety of settings.

In her free time, Attorney Adler enjoys traveling and exploring state and national parks with her husband and two dogs. She also appreciates a good book, movie, or podcast recommendation.
