Attorney Ralph Johnson is a Partner at Axley and a member of the firm’s litigation and business practice groups. He focuses his practice on real estate litigation including eminent domain, debtor-creditor matters, and consumer rights. He also extensively handles matters relating to probate court, estate planning, and family law.
With more than 30 years of legal experience, Attorney Johnson has successfully tried cases before judges and juries in circuit courts throughout Wisconsin, as well as federal court, including bankruptcy court. He has also appeared before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals in the reported cases of O’Neill v. Reemer 259 Wis.2d 544, 2003 WI 13, and Vohs v. Donovan, 2009 WI App 181.
Before joining Axley, Attorney Johnson worked for another prominent Janesville law firm, and also as Managing Attorney with the Janesville UAW-GM Legal Services Plan. He served as both Chair and Vice Chair of the Board of Bar Examiners Review Committee for the State Bar of Wisconsin and recently served a six-year term on the Legal Assistance Committee where he was responsible for coordinating and encouraging pro bono activities among members.
Prior to his career as an attorney, Mr. Johnson enjoyed a successful career as programmer and Program Director for National Public Radio affiliated West Virginia Public Radio and WVTF in Roanoke, Virginia.
When not in the office, Attorney Johnson enjoys nature, urban travel adventures, vegetable gardening with an emphasis on too many heirloom tomato plants, and being as active as he can be. He especially enjoys riding his bike in as many urban and rural settings as possible.
