Attorney Bruce Harms Recognized by UW Department of Accounting & Information Systems

Attorney Bruce Harms was selected by the University of Wisconsin’s Department of Accounting & Information Systems as their Distinguished Accounting Alumnus for 2018. Mr. Harms is a member of Axley’s Business Practice Group and focuses his practice on representation of businesses with regard to entity formation, contract negotiations, relationships between co-owners, securities matters, business tax planning, representation of real estate developers and buyers and sellers of real estate, and lender/borrower representation.

Mr. Harms received his B.B.A. in Accounting from UW-Madison in 1972 and his J.D. in 1975. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and has served on committees of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in preparing the business law portion of the CPA exam.

In addition to his practice as an attorney, Mr. Harms has served as a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business from 1975 until his retirement in 2017 teaching various undergraduate and graduate business law classes.

Mr. Harms was named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers© for Corporate Law in Madison for 2016; recognized in The Best Lawyers in America© for work in Corporate Law and Real Estate Law; and listed in Wisconsin by Super Lawyers.
