MADISON, Wis. – Axley LLP is pleased to announce that Attorney Tara Bickford and Attorney Cora Purdue have joined the firm as associates in its Business Practice Group.
Attorney Bickford focuses her practice on business and real estate matters, representing individuals and businesses in matters involving purchase and sale agreements, business formation, operating agreements, and general business guidance. Before joining the firm as an associate, she served as an Axley Summer Associate in 2025, where she gained experience in legal research, contract drafting, estate planning matters, and construction-related issues. Attorney Bickford earned her Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School and was recognized for her advocacy skills, winning both the Fall 2023 Mediation Competition and the Spring 2024 Negotiation Competition.
Attorney Purdue focuses her practice on general business matters, including business formation, contract negotiations and drafting, business startups, and financing. As an Axley Summer Associate in 2025, she assisted with asset purchase and real estate transactions, analyzed alcohol distribution agreements for compliance with Wisconsin law, and drafted commercial lending documents. Attorney Purdue also gained experience in intellectual property enforcement, litigation support, and real estate matters through previous legal internships. She earned her Juris Doctor, with an emphasis in real estate law, from the University of Wisconsin Law School and received her Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, from St. Norbert College.
