Represented insurance company and its insured in regards to a slip-and-fall which occurred in the insured’s home. Plaintiff’s counsel offered to settle the case based on a 90-10 liability split against the insured. The Dane County jury determined that the insured was not negligent and the Plaintiff was solely negligent. The Plaintiff rejected an offer of over $20,000 and instead received no recovery.
Won a post-judgment motion to relocate a child across the country based on client’s concerns that child’s educational needs were not currently being met.

Represented a juvenile who was arrested for participating in a burglary with two others. While in custody he admitted to the crime. We obtained a Consent Decree for a deferred prosecution and client performed 25 hours of community service.
Defended a client in a Federal Court criminal trial involving felony charges of theft from an interstate shipment (a federal offense). At trial the FBI presented video surveillance of the client unloading merchandise from the rear of a commercial semi-tractor trailer. Obtained a directed verdict and all charges were dismissed.
Defended a client charged with felony homicide by intoxicated driving and hit and run. Client struck a pedestrian during a snow storm and left the scene. Obtained a 30 day sentence and probation for the client.
